Chrome is dulled due to lack of polishing, giving it a rather nice gun-metal finish. The lid has a brass word spelling ‘bridge’ in a decorative Edwardian italic. The lid of the box is released by a small inset turquoise stone, mounted on a push button. The interior is camphor wood lined. In excellent working order £115

Circa 1750-1760, thick based bucket bowl with central opaque stick circled by a double twist stem on a large plain conical foot with the broken pontil mark.
